Meet the Dunkers
The athletes who train, compete, and perform as the Minnesota Dunk Squad. Twelve dunkers, one crew, raising the standard of dunking across Minnesota.
Dylan Haugen
Founder of the Minnesota Dunk Squad. Known for competing in dunk contests across the country and inventing original dunk variations.
Gideon Scheeler
A professional pianist and musician studying at the University of Minnesota, with one of the highest verticals in the squad.
Isaac Ononiwu
Originally a high jumper, Isaac is known for his one-foot takeoff and creative finishes at the rim.
Christian Ferguson
Travels in from Milwaukee to compete in dunk contests alongside the rest of the Minnesota Dunk Squad.
Zhai Powell
Outside of dunking he runs track and plays volleyball, and is one of the most explosive young dunkers on the squad.
Jalen Miller
A dunker and local basketball trainer from Minnesota with a smooth 45 inch vertical.
Sam Ngando
A Minneapolis dunker with a 44 inch vertical and a creative arsenal of windmill and two-hand variations.
Colton Lindquist
One of the youngest and highest-jumping members of the squad. Outside of dunking he likes being outside and playing video games.
Justin Blanchard
Believes dunking is the most electric, momentum-building maneuver in all of sports, paired with creativity and self expression.
Jason Robinson
The OG of the Minnesota Dunk Squad. Jason mentors many of the athletes and proves dunking has no age limit.
Brooke Lance
Chasing a big goal: becoming one of the first female athletes under 6 feet tall to dunk on a regulation 10 foot rim.
Christian Bickel
From Ortonville, Minnesota, with a goal of testing a 40 inch vertical.
